IMI Chorale
“I’m Jairah Faith Batarina, a Technical Buyer from the Supply Chain department. This year marks my 6th year at IMI. I am proud to be an active member of our company's Choir called hIMIg, which I first joined in 2018. The chorale has an exclusive voice teacher and instruments for vocal practices. hIMIg performs in different employee engagement activities and events. We also participated in various external competitions such as the SEIPI’s Broadway Musical and the yearly LTAI Christmas Chorale Competition. In my 5-year experience with the choir, we won three consecutive championships in the LTAI Christmas Chorale Competition, a great platform for us to showcase our talent.
Being a part of hIMIg has been a rewarding experience. It gave me the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded people and to share our love for music. I developed my musical talents and learned to express myself in a creative way. It also helped me build strong relationships with my colleagues, as we shared our passion for singing together. This is one of the reasons why my journey with IMI has been so worthwhile and meaningful.” – Jairah Faith Batarina, IMI Choral Group Member.

My First 30 days in IMI
“My first 30 days in IMI were both exciting yet challenging times. It was my first job after college and my first time working at offices given the limitations brought by the pandemic. However, through grit and perseverance, I was able to adapt into the workplace.
I had a 3-day orientation with fellow employees to provide us knowledge about the company before starting. This orientation from IMI University helped me know more about the history, services, and different departments of IMI. Also, the people who spoke were well-versed and friendly, so we weren’t shy to ask questions and interact with one another.
As I began working, my leader helped me adjust in the responsibilities I needed to do by giving me toolkits and folders. It was challenging but it was a smooth experience because my leader discussed with me the KPIs to know what I had to do and achieve for our OD goals. Whenever I had clarifications or questions, the global team was always willing to help and share their knowledge with me, which I greatly appreciate.
These available resources really helped me adjust in the workplace and with the people I work with. Also, the good case practices shared by colleagues helped me learn more about what to do and not to do at my job. Here’s to an enjoyable and worthwhile chapter in my life!” –Niña Dolfo, Global Organization Development Specialist
